Four monumental tapestries from the series The Life of Noah, woven in Brussels at the beginning of the seventeenth century, have been loaned for this exhibition.
The Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts of Lausanne has assembled some one hundred works depicting chaos, from the Renaissance to the present day. These include four monumental tapestries, on loan from the Fondation Toms Pauli, from the Life of Noah series (The Building of the Ark, The Deluge, The Drunkenness of Noah, and Noah Gives Thanks to God), woven in Brussels at the beginning of the seventeenth century.
